Today I’ll be reviewing two products from Derma E that I have been using religiously ever since I got them!
I discovered Derma E from Birchbox and one of my dearest friends, Celina! She raved about these two products and I knew I had to give them a try! Just FYI – I have combination skin, an oily T-Zone and dry/flakey patches around my chin and right side of the face. Also, I have a TON of acne scars – I have had people make fun of me and point it out since I was a teenager. It sucks but hey, I learned to live with it and thankfully, these two products have helped diminish them!
Let’s start with the Microdermabrasion Scrub!
Immediately improve the appearance of your skin using this gentle yet effective multi-award-winning Microdermabrasion Scrub. This salon-perfect formula uses an exclusive crystal blend including Dead Sea Salt and Volcanic Sand (rich in Silica) to buff away dull surface cells, help diminish the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and acne scars, and absorb excess skin oils. Enriched with natural astringents Lime and Lemon Peel plus antioxidants Grapeseed and Vitamin E, this pro-grade treatment retexturizes skin, leaving it soft, smooth and younger-looking. May also be used on your hands, elbows, knees, heels or any part of the body to promote soft, smooth and healthy skin. Ideal if you’re looking for immediate results from a salon-perfect treatment in the privacy of your own home. Please note: The crystal blend used in this product is a large molecular structure and is therefore not bio-available to the body, so there is no possibility of absorption through the skin. 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free.
This scrub costs $32.50 and I was worried about how rough it might be on my skin. I’ve used my fair share of scrubs that said they were gentle and ended up being too harsh. However, I was pleasantly surprised with how gentle this microdermabrasion scrub was! It has a lemon-ey scent and definitely did the job! It removed dead skin cells and made my skin feel super soft! I’m really amazed at how powerful this scrub is even though it feels super gentle when using it. I tend to use it twice a week, sometimes three times. I can honestly say that I don’t have as huge of a problem with my flakey skin ever since adding this into my skincare routine.
Scar Gel –
This unique blend of botanical extracts helps soften, smooth, and diminish the appearance of scars, especially those that are lumpy, bumpy or discolored. Enriched with Allicin (from onion bulb), Allantoin and Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), this formula helps visibly break down scars and encourage healthy skin. It is equally effective in resolving other skin hardenings. This non-oily, pleasant smelling formula will not stain clothes. 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten-free, GMO-free.
I was really excited about the scar gel since I had a new batch of acne scars when this product arrived. Okay..that sounds weird but that’s what happened! I wish I took before and after photos but it completely slipped my mind when I began using this!
This gel is lightweight and absorbs into my skin super quick, I barely notice it’s there! I usually apply it 3-4 times a day, it has a nice scent to it – it’s not bothersome or anything. This gel reminds me of the aloe vera I used to apply to my skin back when I lived near someone who grew it!
I have been using the Scar Gel for about 5 weeks now and can see that my acne scars have diminished! I’m really happy with the results can’t wait to see more results as I continue to use it! Like I said above, I’ve had horrendous acne scars since I was a teenager. I still cringe when I look at photos from back then. I still have some acne scars now but this scar gel is helping a ton!
I highly recommend the Scar Gel and the Microdermabrasion Scrub if you’re someone who’s looking to diminish scars. I have noticed a huge difference in my skin ever since adding both of these into my routine!
